Hatch Iconic 11 Plus Mid Arbor OFFSHORE/Bluewater Fly Reels

*Note: This is a specialty reel with the deeper "mid arbor" spool, not the typical large arbor option. This holds much more backing, that's the main difference but the spools are interchangeable with the regular version of the reel (same exact reel just different spools).

If you are not familiar with Mid vs Large Arbor, the only major difference is this one holds even more backing, ideal for some very large saltwater game species. There is no disadvantage or price difference vs regular large arbor 11 Plus reels as the amount of backing loaded onto this one will equal diameter of large arbor fully loaded, inches per turn on retrieve will not be affected. Call us if you have questions or need more info. We are always happy to load backing on there for you if you request it and there is no charge.

Left Hand Retrieve is the default configuration (this is "normal" for right-handed people). If you would like the Right Hand Retrieve option instead, let us know either by phone or email. This reel can be converted by the user, so it is not critical to decide now if this is a gift or you are not certain. Large Arbor is the default but Mid Arbor is also available upon request. 

The goal was to create a larger reel that bridged the gap between the original 9 and 12 Plus models. We also wanted to make sure it had an oversized handle for greater grip control when fighting those big silver critters.
